Unity DOTS developer / ECS / C#

I’m Emmanuel. I build games and the systems behind them with Unity DOTS and ECS. Right now that means Ant Mill Inc, a colony game where one ant becomes thousands. I also make a data-driven stats package and published Android games.

A dark real-time incremental colony game. Feed the nest, grow the swarm, and keep the great worm fed, or it eats the colony.

You don’t control ants one by one. You shape the colony, and thousands of tiny minds do the rest. Each ant only sees what’s nearby, follows pheromone trails, and carries food home. That’s the kind of crowd Unity DOTS and ECS were made for.

Engine
Unity, DOTS / ECS
Swarm
Thousands of ants, each with its own small mind
Behaviour
Local senses and pheromone trails that strengthen and fade
